Weekend Project(s)

Seth and I had a whirlwind weekend... but it was really good to work on all our projects at home, getting things done and enjoying each other's company. Mostly, we were focused on getting post-doc applications out by Friday, so we've each spent quite a bit of time on the computer, typing and editing. I've been in "nesting" mode, as well, and therefore dove into several major organization projects. It feels SOOO good to have them done!

We also found a little bit of time for fun, though. And created these:

Now, the really fun thing is that I do in fact mean "we" made them. It's really nice to have a husband who knows how to use a sewing machine!

He helped me think of cute animals to use. I made up some patterns, we had fun sorting through my fabric remnants and scraps box and a few hours later... wala. A great use of a Saturday morning if you ask me. :)

Now, I realize there are A LOT of these. But, we have A LOT of friends and family members who either have small babies or soon will. Plus, we were both getting antsy about buying clothes for our little one, but have realized along with the other frustrated shoppers out there that it is pretty hard to find truly gender neutral baby clothes. So, I apologize in advance to friends and family who will see these pictures and then not have a surprise when they receive gifts from us. I just couldn't resist sharing our fun.

You three are amazing- Bethany, I seriously think you could start your own line. You may think there are a lot there, but you will soon see how many little babies can use. I agree on the neutral issue...Maybe this is the start of the "3T's clothing line"
