I made a great decision mid-week last week to change my last day of work from the 25th to the 18th of this month. I had originally thought that working right up to my due date would help me stay focused and make the time move faster... Instead, it was really stressing me out. I really underestimated how difficult this last month would be - both physically and mentally. Anyway, along with changing my last day, I also chose to take last Friday off and take a couple of half days next week. The following week I still have to see how I feel... I may take another day off or another couple of half days.
Friday gave me the chance to sleep in, take a nap, do some cleaning around the house, have a friend over (who helped me move stuff from the "baby room" into the living room and the sheds) and head off to an appointment with my midwife. I guess that sounds like a lot of stuff, but it was a really great day. The best part is, it helped me feel like I could use the whole weekend to rest. The last two days Seth and I have spent a lot of time together, rested and also have managed to get more things accomplished around the house (and in the "garage").
Anyway, here's the baby room, as "together" as it's gonna get. I think we're finally ready for this little one to arrive (I hope).

It all looks great! I really like the stripes on the little Ikea box which has served so many purposes over the past few years. I can hardly wait to use that rocking chair myself! Love, Mom
Bethany the room looks great! I love the bedding/curtains, etc...that you picked out :) I'm so glad you moved up your last day of work. I stopped working 2 weeks prior to my due date and loved that I did that. I had time to rest and time to myself that I wouldn't have had otherwise and it felt great to forget about work!! You look wonderful :) That baby will be in your arms soon!! P.S....stay tuned to our blog and today or tomorrow I will have a picture up of Allie with a shirt on you will recognize :):)
